Biography

Digital Factor was founded in 1993 by Torsten Heise, Mike Langer and Tino Schmidt. In 1994 Hardrecords released their first EP "Falling Down". In the meantime the legendary Eleltronik label Hyperium / Hypnobeat had noticed the band and in cooperation with Hardrecords both labels released the first long player "relationchips" in 1995. In 1996 the band switched completely to Hyperium / Hypnobeat and released a CD with the album "On Demand", which ensured the band's breakthrough in the Elctro-EBM scene. By 1999 Digital Factor released three more albums here and toured extensively with them. As part of a charity festival for flood victims in 2002, Digital Factor are on stage for the first time with the new band member Guido Litke (instead of Tino Schmidt). In 2006 the album "One More Piece" followed. In 2009 the musicians released "Look Back To Go Forward". In 2010 Torsten Heise leaves the band and Leo von Leibnitz takes his position. In 2011 "Trialog" appears. With that, Digital Factor are going on an extended European tour again. Only in 2020 does the Belgian label Alfa Matrix announce that it has signed Digital Factor. In the same year the EP "Come With Me" is released. In an interview, Mike Langer told Sonic Seducer magazine that Digital Factor is now a solo project with guest musicians.
