Collab Adoration #2

Collab Adoration

Biography

Coco Hue is a collab recording project, in which an original West End jazz groove trio teams up with local vocals to lay sonic golden eggs. It is the creation of keys player, Peta Leigh Wilson, who has played in and out of Brisbane bands since the 1880s. Whilst driven by Peta, the project is truly a creative communal process. She started the trio with Andrew Johnson on bass and production. Sam Mitchell completes the rest of the trio on drums and Homer Simpsonisms. Coco Hue tested the waters with its first release in 2020, ‘Collab Adoration’, which featured artists such as Hannah Macklin, Lachlan Mitchell and Peter Hunt, to name a few. It received airplay on various National community radio stations, podcasts and playlists. The follow up, ‘Collab Adoration Vol. 2’, is set to be released this year. Featured artists include Roman Albert, Shelly Brown and Ofa Fanaika, to name a few. Influences are the Robert Glasper Experiment, Moonchild and The Internet.
