Tanzanian singer/rapper/author Fredrick Albert Komba (aka Fredrick Mulla) is one of East Africa’s most promising crossover acts. He checked into the game with ‘Juma Nyosso’. Mulla became a household name in July 2019 with the release ‘King Tai’, an LP. Mulla released ‘For Your Ears Only’ in November 2019. A Ted Talk ensued, the first one to have used Swahili, a milestone. A mixtape of remakes called ‘Bongxtape’ was releassed in March 2020. ‘Moro Jazz’ the album dropped to some critical acclaim that made him do the popular ‘Dakika Kumi za Maangamizi’ segment in East Africa Radio. Mulla managed to scoop 2 awards - Best Album of The Year 2021 and Best Hip Hop Artist of The Year 2021 during the MoroTube Awards. Towards the end 2021, Mulla linked up with Kenya's Umoja Sounds, and got to collaborate with regionally renowned acts in releases like ‘Mswati’, ‘Mashine’ that featured in Umoja Sounds’ EP ‘Emotional Attachment’,  ‘Legacy’, ‘Weekend’ with Kenya’s Mbithi and Uganda’s 1der Jr in Umoja Sounds’ second EP ‘Dance Like David’ and ‘Venus’ with Ariel Wayz from Rwanda that’s in Umoja Sounds’ third EP ‘Out of The Comfort Zone’. Mulla also managed to collaborate with one of Zambia’s finest artists Jay Rox where he got to drop bars in ’Running’, a song that features in Rox’s massively popular EP ‘Poetry In Motion’. Fredrick Mulla has a forthcoming 5 track EP produced by Umoja Sounds called ‘Masta Manondo’, an EP that alters perceptions.
