Rockell Ward, better known as hip-hop artist “PG13” was born on September 14, 1990 in Hampton, South Carolina where he is currently persuing his music career. While growing up in the tough streets of Carolina, the emerging artist notice his talent and love for music, so he started doing music in the summer of 2004 heavily influeced by his uncle Ronnie Grant, better know as rap artist “July.” Before being named “PG13, Rockell started out as “Hookmaster Kell” which was given to him by his friends because of his talent and love for the hooks. Later on in his years, Rockell merged with his closest friend from a recent group, and formed a new rap group called “NBA” (Natural Born Assasionz) in 2007 and was then given the rap name “PG13.” PG stands for pure genuis, which his close friends would call him, and 13 was added on because that’s always been his favorite number. Music as “vibed” meaning laid back, pain reliever, mind wandering, or simply just music could really party to.
