Well known for her work as one of the world’s finest exponents of traditional folk guitar, Jenn is an award-winning musician and creator. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, she’s an integral part of the thriving Scottish traditional music scene. She performs with folk powerhouses such as Kinnaris Quintet, Fiddlers’ Bid and the Ross Ainslie & Ali Hutton band, and is equally at home in her duo collaborations with Laura-Beth Salter and Will Pound. In 2019, she was awarded Musician of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards and nominated for the same title in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Only two years previous, her work with folk supergroup Songs of Separation won Album of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards; an album that was conceived, arranged and recorded in just 7 days involving a stellar array of artists including Eliza Carthy, Lady Maisery and Karine Polwart. Jenn is releasing her highly anticipated solo album ‘Her By Design’ in February 2025. The album focuses on songs with women at the centre.
