Having toured as the opening act for a long list of vastly different artists such as Arcade Fire, The Script, Joe Cocker, Lionel Richie, John Martyn, White Lies, Heather Nova and The Chicks, the one thing that has remained true throughout, is Rubinacci’s unrelenting desire to communicate to his audience and his listeners. The former lead singer of critically acclaimed UK rock band Honeyman, has in truth had several careers; as a rebellious young rock singer, as a professional songwriter, writing for several major label artists around the world. And lastly, as a solo singer-songwriter. His sound has also evolved over the years. His first album, "The Boys At Twilight" produced by Tchad Blake (Tracy Chapman, Arctic Monkeys, Pearl Jam, Paul Simon, Suzanne Vega, Paul McCartney) and recorded at Peter Gabriel ‘s Real World, was in parts a quiet and introverted affair, and in parts an out and out pop melodrama. His second album, "The Opal Tree" on the other hand, veered towards a heavily dark electronic sound, tackling themes of loss and despair. (The album was written and recorded not long after Rubinacci lost his best friend.) Since then his sound has once again evolved into something more ethereal and textured, perhaps the affects of a year long total loss of his voice, to the point where he couldn't even talk. Now both the voice and the sound are deeper. Written by Mule Music Press.
