Skipp Whitman is an American rapper, producer, and video director based in Los Angeles Ca. He most recntly gained notoriety when he, along with a guerilla production team, shot a full length music video at an Ikea in Burbank, Ca. The music video, ‘Comfortable,’ is approaching 1M views on Facebook. Following the success of ‘Comfortable,’ he began releasing a new music video every month, for what turned into over two years straight, garnishing a loyal and engaged international fanbase. Skipp Whitman touts a ‘flow,’ unique to each track he is featured on, of which there have been many. His insatiable taste for eclectic, uncanny and super groovy vibes led to a recent EP effort ‘Aisle Thots,’ produced by Jeremy Page (God Forbid That Handsome Devil) which has sailed north of 1M streams on Spotify. His biggest influences are Burt Bacharach, Joao Gilberto, Jay-Z (to which many have compared his cadence), Stevie Wonder, Big L, and Electric Light Orchestra. His most recent album ‘CALIFORNIA,’ produced by Spittzwell, features Jarren Benton, Emmitt James, Jeremy Jones, La, 4-IZE, and more. He is currently releasing each song individually, spaced out over weeks, with a new and different visual to accompany each, to eventually compile a ‘playlist’ which comprises them all.
