Since her childhood, Lidia Brandão showed a high inclination towards music, mainly as a singer. Born in Santos, São Paulo (Brazil), she moved with her family to Curitiba when she was 14. There she started her first voice studies, with emphasis in bossa nova and samba. Two years later she was already hired by music schools in Curitiba as voice teacher. She also dedicated her studies in jazz and fado, and in 2015 she started to work together with the bassist Cris Julian, whom she married in 2016. Both have lived for 3 years in Germany and England, and in 2019, back to Brazil, she recorded her first album “Eu canto mesmo”. They are presently living in Portugal, and continue their projects in music, specially jazz and Brazilian music.
