Mickey Kojak is Australia’s favourite synth-destroying, video-game playing producer/vocalist extraordinaire. Inspired from a merging of new and old technologies and styles, leading him down a winding road of stylistic paths, and we’re all too happy to follow along. 2019 was a packed year of tracks and touring for Mickey, releasing singles ‘All That Acid’, ‘Get Out’ and ‘Video Games’ with US label Alt:Vision via Republic Records. This made an impression across the globe, being supported enormously by Sirius XM’s Alt Nation and Peru’s Doble Nueve, all receiving rotation on Austrlia’s triple j. He collaborated with Bag Raiders on their single ‘Wild At Heart’ and closed out the year announcing his Falls Festival live show. This year Mickey Kojak is back with a new single ‘Strange’, a song about good nights, bad mistakes and worse repurcussions. The track is as lyricly manic as it’s instrumentation, driven from the get go with big funky bass line, wonky electronic percussion and his usual dose of melodic magic.
