Marco Hidalgo, also known as Mrk Grim, is a Techno DJ and Producer hailing from the vibrant cultural hub of the Dominican Republic. From the inception of his musical journey, he exhibited an unwavering zeal for music and the arts. His musical odyssey commenced at an early age when he spearheaded his own Extreme Metal project as a vocalist and songwriter, uniting with local metal aficionados in Santo Domingo at a mere 17 years old. Immersed in the allure of shadowy melodies and poignant undertones, he adopted the moniker Mrk Grim, a fusion of 'Mrk' derived from his given name Marco, and 'Grim' signifying the enigmatic and somber essence that permeates his musical creations. Venturing into the realm of DJing in 2013 and later transitioning into the realm of music production in Montréal, Canada in 2019, he collaborated with a diverse array of artists including luminaries such as Atroxx, VIL, and Linear System to name a few. Through these collaborations, he honed his craft and delved deeper into the intricacies of crafting Techno masterpieces. Mrk's musical prowess has garnered acclaim through his releases on esteemed labels such as [R]3volution Uncoded, Konsequent Records, Modern Minimal, NYXII, and Adrenocrom Records, solidifying his position as a trailblazing force in the Techno realm.
