Lt Headtrip is an rapper, producer, and head of art rap label, WATKK. His intense performance and off-kilter yet thoughtful lyricism have garnered him respect as a diverse, intense musician on and off stage. Headtrip has overseen the creation of dozens of albums from himself and other artists, booked and promoted countless events throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens for national and local acts, and performed all over the United States. Headtrip first began working with his DJ and producer, Samurai Banana, in 2006. Their group would eventually grow into the Karma Kids, adding the unique flavors of Googie, Gruff Lion and Duncecap. At every stage of development they were known for their provocative, unrestrained live performances and distinct, inventive styles. During his time working in NYC, he also collaborated with members of Backwoodz Studioz, such as billy woods and Elucid, artists on Reservoir Sound, namely A.M. Breakups and MC Eleven, in addition to artists on Uncommon Records, Smoker’s Cough, and many others.
