You get the best of both worlds, when Tarick mixes his African heritage with a modern European hip-hop sound. The result is stylish afro-pop with a Nordic twist which feels like Danish summernights under the Tanzanian sky.  
 The 25-year-old Tanzanian resident of Copenhagen has a vision of increasing focus on African culture and music in the Nordic region, one packed dance floor at a time. Tarick has spent hours in the studio, and as one of the few Danish Afro-artists, he masters delivering his lyrics perfectly in both English and Swahili, just as the Afro sound prescribes it - and with his ability to rap, sing and perform to perfection, it is just another reason why Tarick is a must-see live performer.  
 The love for his homeland's language, culture, and lifestyle is a common thread throughout his music. The songs are about everything a young life entails, such as love, infatuation, and emotions, but also reflections on the origins he comes from and the society he lives in. Tarick has personally experienced what it's feels like to be a foreigner no matter where you are. Based on those experiences, his mission is to build bridges between people and also to increase awareness of discrimination and racism through his music.
