Biography

Emerging from the edge of Enfield, from a small town called Waltham Cross. Ferno began his journey as a rapper at 10. Born Olasubomi Taiwo in 1993, he first started writing lyrics in boarding school in Nigeria under the monicker “Inferno” and years later in 2009 formed a rap group in Lincoln, England, when he was 16 with three friends. Over the next 4 years he started 2 more rap groups and went solo, cultivating a style of rap that was unpredictable and energetic, his inspirations drawn from the likes of Lil Wayne, Eminem & 50 Cent, rapping of his aspirations, dreams, women and vices. At this point, ‘Inferno’ became ‘Ferno’. Across this time period he released several EP’s, music videos and singles including some popular releases such as his hit record “Good Week” boasting over 200,000 plays on soundcloud and his “Moon Rock EP” with over 20,000 plays. Ferno’s style of rap is multi-faceted, from deep vocals tones to high passionate melodies and flows of wild varieties, on instrumentals that span across multiple genres and styles. You can never fully know what to expect from Ferno. This is emphasised by his latest release “Facets” his 16 track debut mixtape. In the first quarter of 2023 Ferno followed up with a personal EP called “Just My Luck” where he touches on his psychological mind state over the last few years, as well as his life’s frustrations and hardships in regards to music, relationships and more.
