VORA is a sonic and visual storyteller, known for her intense and visceral production style that spans from ambient landscapes to underground dance music. Acidic-bass lines combine with spacious pads and textural glitches to create a dark, ethereal sound that captivates the dance floor. Her newest work “ESOTERICA” released November 2022, with new collaborations featuring artists Umbra Abra, Becca Lilia and brz. VORA is also featured in Portals, a compilation album being released on Nicolás Jaars label Other People in February 2023 With a sonic signature that embraces the dichotomies between hard hitting dance music and meditative ambience, the albums “Angels Embryo”, “SERAPHIM” and “ESOTERICA” explore complex relationships between movement, spirit and embodied reality. Rooted in a belief that moving the body moves the soul, VORA creates dance and rave music as a vibrant elixir that jolts the soul awake from the everyday monotony of a capitalism based stupor. Drawing on a rich constellation of influences, her work mirrors a personal desire to connect through shared joy and pain, speaking on the spiritual effects of disconnection and of reconciling trauma and gender identity. This year “RAZOR” off the “SERAPHIM'' EP made a runway debut at the Fall/ Winter 2022 New York Fashion Week. Distorted baselines and punchy kicks illuminated the runway as models walked for the Australian fashion designer Alabama Blond.
