Biography

Ingrid Simons was born on November 17, in Paramaribo, Suriname. At age eight, she decided that singing was her future will determine. After high school she took the plunge and joined the then so called song contest, where she earned a first place. There were more song festivals and more decisive victories that eventually became her singing career. Having different bands to act, she did allround experience, both as lead and backing vocals. After a few years to have done this, the time was right on the semi-professional level to proceed. She came into contact in 1986 with Bernadette Kraakman. With her she formed the duo "Double Trouble", which gained fame in the Netherlands. In 1988 she was asked to join Jody's Singers and contribute to the album "Listen to the Voices". This was her first step into the world of professionals. With Jody's Singers made it a great time along with shows at home and abroad, and she was with her singing talent includes the sound of "Jody's Singers" to determine. In early 1992 she made her solo debut with a composition of "Marconic" "If Life Could Be a Dream". From February 1992 she performed as a Leading Lady at the Lido Theatre in Amsterdam. In March 1992, a duet with Ingrid Gordon "Love without end" on his CD (I wish I could just be with you) can be heard. At the same time she was asked for T-Spoon for the single "No Time 2 Waste"
