Yorko is known to be arguably the one with the most powerful voice and the most intricate lyrcist within his co-founded hip-hop collective Kartell’em. Outside of his membership of the popular rap posse, Yorko’s unique identity shines more through his personal work. In 2020, Yorko released his debut independent album, Excelsior. In that album, he shows off his technical prowess in writing lyrics that contain very personal takes about his life. In contrast to his sentimental take on his solo music, is his stone cold stage presence, making him self a force to be reckoned with when performing live. Yorko, is the balance between thoughtful introspection, and powerful projection. His music and presence is akin to something like a cloud, soft and comforting but also like a terrible tempest peering over the horizon.
