MØHNE, aka Jose Ramon Vazquez Real, is a DJ / Producer from Mexico City, based in Costa Rica. Although he avoids sticking to a musical genre, MØHNE defines himself as an alternative downtempo electronic music artist. Innate drummer and passionate about music since he was a kid, MØHNE always tries to reflect his music taste through his productions. Capturing experiences, feelings or thoughts through his music and lyrics is what gives soul and purpose to his productions. Genres that influence him the most are vapor twitch, downtempo, electronica, new wave, alternative rock, industrial, and future bass. His interest in electronic music production rose in 2010. Over time, he developed a passion for sound design, in the search of achieving a characteristic style loaded with different textures. His projects have two purposes; provoke different emotions and memories, and wreak havoc on the dancefloor. Graduated from DJLab in alliance with Brooklyn Digital Conservatory, MØHNE has shown maturity and clarity in his musical proposal. He has started working with producers and bands from the rising indie and alternative scene in Costa Rica, making remixes for artists like Caucel, Selvas, Pictura, and Felino Taurino, that capture the essence of his project.
