Davy Fresh is a Washington, DC based recording artist. He got his start in music from mixtapes and blog recognition in the late 2000's. He released his first album, The Wake & Bake Album (10th Year Anniversary), featuring What You Say in 2012 under his independent recording company, Fresh Kids Music Group. He followed up with #FreshLife (10th Year Anniversary), and Cloud 420 (Deluxe Edition) in 2013. His 2017 album, Every Dark Night..., gained the attention of the record label, Tommy Boy Records, who promoted and also featured the song, JAY Z, on their web series, Heat Beneath The Street. Davy Fresh followed up with his 2018 double disc album, ...Smile, and his 2019 album, Ready When You Are, which are revered as underground gems to hip hop enthusiast with songs like Maybe They Don't Want That Real, Never Wonna Fall, Play, and IGHT. After, Davy Fresh went on a 2 year hiatus from music to focus on producing a line of Nike sneakers (NikesbyDavyFresh.com), he returned to music with his album, The David Johnson LP (Deluxe Edition), in the summer of 2021. That same year he signed a distribution deal with Legendary producer, Dallas Austin, to distribute and market the releases from FKMG on Dallas Austin Distribution (DAD). Davy released his debut commercial and debut DAD album, The Christening in January 2022 to positive reviews. He followed up in 2022 with Richmond Highway, Totally Smoked Out (with his younger brother Smokedogg02), and Ready To Fly.
