Biography

In Artem’s words : There are feelings and thoughts that cannot be expressed in words. Words can distort the meaning of what is meant. Only music can convey the subtle, hidden movements of the soul, freedom and delicate emotions. In life I am not talkative, but in music I give myself the opportunity to express myself. It is the language of our soul!
Born in a small polar village there were no musicians in Artem’s family, but classical music was respected and  often played at home. Music made a big impression on Artem as a child. His grandmother, noticing his interest in music, insisted that he was given the opportunity to study it. It was almost impossible to find a piano so Artem’s studies for the first few years took place on a 2 octave toy keyboard.

By age 11 he entered music school and began showing an interest for composing.
For the next decade he would diligently study music. From finishing Conservatory, to being the soloist of the Philharmonic, working at various theaters in Moscow, performing solo and joint concerts he underwent years  of learning and experience. While he had a great love for classical music, with each concert he realized that what he really wanted to do was to create something of his own. While still playing concerts, he has once again begun working favorite thing - composing his own music. Artem writes for movies, performances and currently is working on a joint project with singer/songwriter Dina Layzis.
