Equal parts vintage and modern make Plus and Son Little ‘s collaboration feel like a fusion of old school hip-hop/R&B and Indie sentiments that feed the soul. Following the KCRW support for the original release, Plus has flipped this version of ‘Feel So Heavy’ that you didn’t know you needed but now you can’t live without. Kyle McCammon's latest creation, Plus, is a project featuring a rotating cast of artists that’s meant to be avant-garde yet listenable. He aims to create dark, edgy and angular songs that still have somewhat of a sense of lightness in certain tones or in the lyrical content. David Alarcon of METAL adds that “he delves into the electronic, indie and pop atmosphere blurring the boundaries between musical genres and demonstrating that continuous experimentation is the best antidote to stagnation and non-evolution.” Although Plus was only launched in 2021, it’s already started to garner quite a buzz with support from KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, LADYGUNN, Acid Stag, We Found New Music and a placement on Amazon’s original series PANIC. His other productions have been featured on shows such as Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, Never Have I Ever, Trinkets, CW’s Charmed among many others. As a member of the duo Lean, his work has received critical acclaim from outlets such as BuzzBands LA, Nylon, Indie Shuffle, and Paste. And, as a multi-instrumentalist he’s toured the world over.
