Contemporary R&B Singer-Songwriter Based: Portland, Oregon David Brown aka Anthony Ernest (25), was born in Long Island, New York but grew up in the beautiful Cayman Islands. Moving to the Caribbean at the start of the 21st century gave him another perspective than many of his fellow American counterparts. Dedicating his life to music, Anthony would go on to accomplish major musical feats such as being nominated for the Butterfield Bank’s Young Musician of the Year 4 consecutive times and being crowned the Runner-up in 2015. He has received many Gold standard - high distinction awards and honors for his vocal and piano playing abilities. He became one of the youngest vocalists to join the Cayman Islands National Choir and has headlined his own shows on the island. In 2014, Cissy Houston – Legendary Vocalist, background singer to Aretha Franklin, and mother of the late great Whitney Houston graced Cayman with a one-night-only concert. Ernest opened the show with “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli & Celine Dion duet with one of his best friends receiving a resounding standing ovation.
