The sibling orchestra døssing blends Nordic modern jazz with musical influences from lounge and dub, adding an extra dimension through poetic and unifying narratives in their works. Their sound is characterized by the fusion of the acoustic and the electronic, expressed particularly through airy brass instruments and playful percussion, paired with bass-heavy synthesizers, twinkling keys, and rhythmic drum machines. In 2022, døssing released their debut album "all inclusive," which was a narratively guided auditory journey through a hotel-inspired universe. The album was Album of the Week on danish national radio P8 JAZZ with frequent rotations thereafter, received glowing reviews from publications such as GAFFA and Information, and led to live performances at major events like DMA JAZZ 2022, SPOT Festival, Vinterjazz, and Copenhagen Jazz Festival. In the spring of 2024, the jazz orchestra released a comprehensive EP 'paula', expanding their voice, sound, and mood universe. - stronger than ever after the addition of Thit Helbo Møller on percussion and a new instrument, the trumpet played by Annestine Døssing. Following the EP release, døssing will embark on a tour across Denmark in September 2024.
