MNIB which stands for My Name Is Billal, is a musician from Manchester, UK. "Accordin' to ma' Mama, I've been yappin' since I was like 7, 8 years old". Inspired to write poetry as a coping mechanism shortly after his Auntie passed away in 1996; Billal took all he had at that time, which was a jumbo pencil he won at a carnival and a notepad & got to telling the world how he felt. "Ambitionz Az A Ridah by 2Pac was the 1st song I learned by heart. Imagine my Mama's face hearin' her pre-teen son spittin' those bars! She whooped my ass for that". As a co-founding member of 'Educated Thugz!' they enjoyed some local & international success before rebranding to 'School Fo' Hardknockz!' The group would disband in August 2011 allowing for Billal to create a legacy for himself. MNIB is also a member of the Manchester International Roots Orchestra.
