That Yung Lad, also known as TYL ('till’), is an East Coast rapper and songwriter from New Jersey. Born in 1991, TYL lived in Jersey, right outside NYC, until moving to Los Angeles in late 2014 where he started pursuing his music career. As a kid, music always had a presence in TYL’s daily life. The influence and positive affect of music on his life has been a major reason in his desire to write and rap. “The main thing I want my music to do is inspire people, whether that’s to start pursuing something they love or to get out of a bad situation, I want my art to move people. So many artists put their lives and emotions on display for me, I feel like I have to give something back to this world because without them I may not be who I am, or may not even be here anymore.
