ZUBIN is a self-taught singer, songwriter, and producer residing in Paarl, South Africa. His music is an eclectic mix, spanning from upbeat pop to heartwarming indie/alternative. In 2023, ZUBIN’s self-produced "I just want you" gained widespread recognition when it was featured on "Popcast," a New York Times podcast hosted by renowned pop music critic Jon Caramanica and culture reporter Joe Coscarelli. This however was just the beginning of his remarkable journey this year. His single “Letter For You” gained significant traction on TikTok, amassing over half a million streams and being featured in more than 4000 user videos with a collective view count of over 5 million. ZUBIN’s impact extends beyond TikTok; his music is a favorite on national radio station “5FM,” with it collectively receiving over 600 plays since November of 2022. His dedication to innovation and authenticity has resonated with fans, leading to a substantial growth in his fanbase. In just a year, ZUBIN’s total streams on Spotify have surged from 5,000 to over 1,000,000 total streams and counting. In ZUBIN's most recent chapter, he has unveiled his latest indie/folk-pop collaboration, Take Me Home in collaboration with Booshle G. and Paul Timitch. The song is the outcome of a writing camp that took place in December 2023 involving the trio. ZUBIN continues his collaboration with the East London-based producer on a diverse array of songs set to be released throughout 2024.
