Progressive electronic music project from Melbourne, Australia. Blending trance and industrial music with a prog rock flavour, Blast Radius started in 2007 as a solo alias for Lachlan Hessing, expanding to a two-man outfit with Ryan Brewster on guitar in 2011. After releasing the "Synonyms for Hope" EP and the long-awaited second album "Soul", Hessing and Brewster mutually agreed to part ways to work on their own projects, and Blast Radius returned to being a solo effort once again. After a three-year hiatus from 2016, Blast Radius is again releasing new music. The most recent "Hollow Moon Theory" EP marks a shift to a darker sound, with significant djent and metalcore influences, while retaining the signature melodies the project is known for.
