Trace the Kid grew up in Massachusetts where he adopted his lyrical style. Eventually learning to make beats and record his own music he has a very hands on approach to the creation of his music. Heartfelt and passionate lyrics accompanied by Trace’s energetic flow make for music that you can really feel. After releasing 7 projects, he took a brief hiatus from music and returned rebranded as Trace the Kid with his Game Changer EP in 2015. GCFam (Game Changer Family), as his fans are affectionately called, are amazing people who deal with challenges like all of us do. Many of them connect with Trace because he expresses his struggles and also his motivation to keep pursuing his goals and keep pushing to find a way to overcome those things that try to hold him back. “Emotional”, “inspiring” and “creative” are just a few words to describe his music. Maybe even “epic” occasionally too... His lyrical rap style, many times mixed with layers of melodies and harmonies, sound effects and occasionally funny adlibs make his music really enjoyable to listen to over and over.
