Christopher Johnson, known professionally as C. Jay Dinero, is an American rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is known for building an extensive catalog of music through consistent mixtape and album releases (so much so that he’s had 20+ releases since 2007). Since beginning his music career, C. Jay had performed at hundreds of shows throughout the country and worked with the likes of Torch (of MMG), Glasses Malone, Cardo (producer of Drake’s “God’s Plan”), Sledgren (Wiz Khalifa), Vybe Beatz, Johnny Juliano, DJay Cas (Nipsey Hussle’s “Keyz to the City”), among others. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2010 Ohio Hip Hop Awards and Best Video for “Next Shit” at the 2011 Ohio Hip Hop Awards. Dinero’s hard work in releasing numerous mixtapes since 2007 led to his first official release, “The Collector’s Item EP”, on October 15, 2014. His first official long playing album, “All In: The Album” was released on November 13, 2015. In 2017, C. Jay released two separate extended play albums: “Slow Burn” on May 1, and “No More Sucka Shit” on December 8. November 2, 2018 saw C. Jay Dinero releasing his second official LP, “The Collector’s Item, Vol. 2”. C. Jay Dinero is also known for his extensive music videography. He has released 30+ music videos including for his singles, “Green Lights (Go!)”, “Phone Workin’”, “Playa Mane” (featuring Joshua Dunn), and “Streets Went Soft”. C. Jay has also established his own brand, YFGM Lifestyle.
