CLEANRISK is an experimental pop project which fuses the syntheziser-driven pop of the American coast with folk songwriting styles inspired by the rural landscapes of the Midwest. The result is a hybrid of nostalgic pop from the 1980s with lyricism akin to the folk storytelling of the South. In December of 2019, CLEANRISK released the debut album "Hibernation," a concept record about conquering depression. To the artist, the album illustrated the harmonious journey from vibrant nostalgia to dark realism and back again, evident most in the title track as well as the album closer "How Can You Live?"
