Biography

Mariana Quinteros - Latin Grammy Nominated Tango singer Born in Buenos Aires Argentina, Mariana started studying vocal technique at a very young age. She chose tango as the way of expressing herself with her first album "Carmin" in 2012. In the United States she develops an important activity as a Tango Singer throughout different venues in Florida, Houston, California and other States, participating also as a lead singer in “Mexico Tango Festival”, and “Bellas Artes Theater” in Puerto Rico. With the "Pan American Symphony Orchestra" she played the role of “Maria” in the Astor Piazzolla's Opera "Maria de Buenos Aires" in Lisner Auditorium (DC) and performed for several editions of the Washington DC Tango Festival at the Embassy of Argentina. She made a tour with "Orquesta Victoria" from Argentina, performing at “Herbst Theater” in San Francisco between other important venues in the area, and was the main singer in the Symphonic Concert "Amor de Tango" in “Teatro Municipal de Asunción” in Paraguay and in the “New World Center” in Miami. With her Album “Tango de Nuevos Ayres” she achieved a Latin Grammy Nomination for “Best Tango Album” 2022. She is now working on the release of her new Album “Contrapunto”. Produced and directed by Anibal Berraute, it was recorded in Argentina, Miami and Prague with the musicians from “Quinteto Astor Piazzolla”, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Guillermo Fernandez as a special guest.
