Biography

UK-based pianist & composer Simeon Walker has quickly emerged as a leading light in the burgeoning Modern Classical scene, following the release of his albums Mono & Winnow.
In recent years, Simeon has performed across the UK and Europe, supporting the likes of S. Carey, Sebastian Plano, Loscil, Marconi Union, Erland Cooper & Taz Modi, whilst also appearing at Latitude Festival (UK), Q3Ambientfest (DE), FAN Festival (PT) and a range of concerts, shows and live music events.
Regularly broadcast on BBC Radio 3, notably on the Unclassified & Late Junction programmes, alongside BBC 6Music, KEXP and Neo-FM, his music has been streamed in excess of 15 million times worldwide. Simeon also founded and curates Brudenell Piano Sessions; an intimate and varied concert series highlighting the diverse music being composed and performed on the piano, held at Leeds' iconic Brudenell Social Club.
In a busy, scrolling-fuelled world, Simeon's calm, introspective piano-based instrumentals invite the listener to find stillness, beauty and meaning as much in the spaces between the notes as the notes themselves, as musical stories are woven with each tender, intimate performance.
Simeon's second album 'Winnow' is available to buy on vinyl & CD, featuring stunning artwork from acclaimed artist Gregory Euclide here: www.simeonwalker.co.uk/shop
