Matthew Beer, better known as Mistah B or sometimes Beast Mode B, an underground hip hop emcee, producer, lyricist and sound engineer from Adelaide, South Australia, starting out as just a writer in 2005. His 12th mixtape release, Mental Agony, features some of his most personal feelings about a range of subjects including his long fight with depression and mental illness, drug addiction, suicide, near death experiences, life struggles, broken friendships and the state of hip hop & society just to name a few, and the front cover artwork itself, a photograph taken from his most recent mental health ward visit. In April 2018, he announced the establishment of Beast Mode Productions. Also in mid-late 2018, Mistah B joined frequent collaborator and Hip Hop associate, HiddenRoad, of Fort Worth, Texas, as an affiliate of his HRS Underground collective. His most recent project, Shotgun Mouthwash, released in October 2022 after a short hiatus from music, leaves the idea that he is back and more focused than ever.
