Biography

AFSHEEN is an Iran-born, Los Angeles-based artist/songwriter/producer/DJ who’s written and produced songs for pop’s biggest stars, including Janet Jackson, Selena Gomez, Madonna, Chris Brown and many others. One of music’s most in-demand creatives today, he counts +2B cross-platform streams, multiple platinum and gold certifications, and a Latin GRAMMY nomination.
Following his 2016 debut single as a solo artist, "Let Me Down Slow," AFSHEEN has been nonstop.
As a producer/songwriter, he can be heard on the biggest pop songs and albums of the last decade, including Madonna's ‘Rebel Heart,’ Kygo and Rita Ora's "Carry On," and the platinum single "Sunny Days" by Armin van Buuren. AFSHEEN has also collaborated with major K-pop, J-pop and Chinese acts including NCT 127, BoA and others. AFSHEEN co-produced TAEYEON 's 2019 platinum single "Four Seasons” and YooA’s 2020 single "Bon voyage," which debuted at #1 and #2, respectively, in South Korea.
In Nov. 2020, AFSHEEN independently released ‘HAPPY TUNES,’ his debut solo artist album. A concept album inspired by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, ‘HAPPY TUNES’ features a wide array of diverse influences and sonic styles, all colored by playful rhythms, feel-good melodies and uplifting lyrics. On the live front, AFSHEEN made his live debut as a guest at Kygo's two-night run at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in 2016 and has performed at the world's leading festivals, including Tomorrowland, Electric Forest, Ultra Korea and more.
