Arone Dyer is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and composer who's musical work spans over 3 decades. She's a founding member of Brooklyn-born-project Buke & Gase with longtime friend and musical partner Aron Sanchez (DN RES), a genre-defying musical exploration of limits and device, as well as Asheville, NC/Hudson, NY solo/duo project Mistresses with Ryan Oslance (Ahleuchatistas). Since February 2015 she had examined dis/comfort within performance through a series of long-durational roaming choral pieces, aptly titled Dronechoir, which you can learn more about on www.aronedyer.com. She recently completed an album collaboratively created with stargaze Ensemble which features arranged tunes from her other projects and new music, and is set to be released on Transgressive Records in the coming year. In addition to her own projects she has made appearances on The National’s 2017 Grammy-winning release Sleep Well Beast, solidifying the introduction to their #1 Billboard Hit “The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness”, collaborated with Deerhoof's Greg Saunier on a cover of Connie Converse's "Playboy of the Western World" featured on David Garland's "Spinning-On-Air" podcast, collaborated with Bec Plexus on their Sticklip release, and has performed with musical heavies such as Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, Deerhoof, Bon Iver, The National, Tune-Yards, Battles, Animals As Leaders, among many others, and as far back as 1998 when she opened the Lilith Fair Festival in Minneapolis.
