Biography

Marshee’ Jones was born in Atlanta, GA, but currently resides in Ellenwood. She began her musical career at a young age, singing in different plays and talent shows throughout her school years. She started writing music at the age of 6; where she realized she had a way of expressing herself through song whenever she would encounter different moments in life. With her natural storytelling abilities, she also found herself writing from other people’s perspectives. Marshee’s sound is deep and sultry with a hint of nostalgia, reminiscent of the 90s music of her upbringing and the 80s music of her parental influence. She mostly leans towards R&B and Soul music, but also loves EDM and Pop music. Her musical influences include Anita Baker, Toni Braxton, Aaliyah, Monica, Brandy, and Kelly Rowland; with group influences such as SWV, Brownstone, and Total that can be heard in her melodic harmonies. Marshee’ is working on a visual for her current single, “Let Go.” She is also working on the release and visual for her upcoming single entitled “I’m Good.” She has performed at local showcases in Atlanta, most notably the Almost Famous Showcase with the Acapella Group. She is currently writing and preparing her untitled EP. Along with writing and recording new music, Marshee’ is involved in Blak Arkitec Media Group LLC, where she collaborates with other artists.
