I always loved making music but had shied away from releasing anything because I felt it didn’t fit people’s image of me. My first single 4BIDDN FRUIT came from a promise to myself to put my energy towards becoming who I am in my day dreams. The FRUIT is who we truly want to be, the person we see when we’re staring aimlessly out at the water lost in thought. That fruit feels 4BIDDN coz it’s daunting to put yourself out there for a dream that doesn’t match people’s perception of you. I wanna live with my heart on my sleeve like I was a kid again, before people who succumbed to the fear of judgement taught me to follow suit. Lowering those walls and living vulnerable isn’t easy, but I’m finding it’s the most love I could possibly show myself and the people who love me. Those dreams that still haven’t even left your brain? Write them down. Say them out loud. Tell them to people. Get laughed at. Get encouraged. Know that people are making fun of you behind your back. Know that you inspired someone to start chasing their dream. Don’t wait for the “right moment”. Just go. - Sam Timmins
