Luís Kalil is a 22 year-old guitar player, currently in Red Devil Vortex. Hailing from Brazil, the guitarist has performed with artists such as Steve Vai, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Stone Sour, Marco Minnemann, Kenny Aronoff and also had Dirk Verbeuren, drummer of Megadeth, on his latest Single, Reverse Strike. Featured in magazines, awards, shows and clinic tours representing ESP Guitars and EMG Pickups around the world are some of the achievements Luís has accomplished in the last few years. With two solo albums and one EP under his belt, in may of this 2018, Kalil was awarded in Vienna, Austria, for writing two songs off his first record "Insight". The award was given by the legend Joe Zawinul's Foundation Of Achievement. Since age 12, the brazilian guitarist has been making noise in the guitar community through Youtube videos, such as "Top 10 Solos of Dream Theater" and Cacophony's "Speed Metal Symphony" went viral on the internet. After that Luís signed with ESP Guitars, EMG Pickups and Laney Amplification by the age of 13. In December of 2018, Kalil hosted his first ever guitar clinic tour in Brazil, after years conquering a solid fan base in his home country. Now, the guitarist has a new solo EP on the way with Eduardo Baldo on drums, and will be hosting a guitar clinic tour in the US, Argentina (2 sold out dates) and Brazil until the end of the year.
