Nili is a solo musical project by Santiago Neely. Beside some flirtings with piano at early age, Nili's first seriois music approach wasn't until he was introduced to F. Pucci, in Chile when he was in his early twenties. He self taught guitar and ventured into some other instruments. His first album, Songs From Spaceship Earth, was composed and recorded in his room in Margaret River, Western Australia. Easy and slow sounds have influence from Mac Demarco, Loving amd Alex the Astronaut, but also glimpses of a more rock/grunge sound like the ones produced by Courtney Barnett and Nili's all time favorites Pavement and Modest Mouse.
