Shola Adisa-Farrar is a Jamaican American Artist who "traverses cultures with a special kind of versatility that comes from being a citizen of the world." (NBC News, 2018) In 2011, this Oakland, California native moved to Paris and embarked on a singing career, which eventually opened the doors for her to perform internationally. She has since headlined concerts in 15 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Drawing on her Jamaican origins combined with the Soul and Jazz music from her upbringing, Shola released her debut project, Lost Myself (Hot Casa Records, 2016), a Vocal Jazz album in collaboration with French Pianist Florian Pellissier. Since the album’s release, the single,“Evolution” has been played on international airwaves, most notably by Gilles Peterson (BBC Music Radio, London), and was hand picked by American Director Spike Lee to be featured in his Netflix series, She's Gotta Have It, season 1. Currently, Shola creates genre bending music with producers and musicians from around the World. Lately, produced by Paris LaMont (Protoje, Lila Iké, Kabaka Pyramid) is her most recent offering.
