Music isn't just my passion, it's my purpose. I started singing and songwriting when I was very young, like 6 or 7 years old. I remember sitting with my older sister and making up songs that would just go on for hours. Overtime, as I grew up I realized that music, singing, and songwriting was a great way for me to express feelings that I wasn't able to just speak. It became my way of understanding myself and the world around me. I started to take it more seriously in high school and would perform in any musical play, with any church praise team, and at any event that I could. Singing and performing became my way of life for years. This way of life came to a halt during my sophomore year of college because at that time I lost my sense of self and allowed someone else to tell me who and what I was. This went on for 4 years. I felt like I was living someone else's life and I wasn't being my true self. In 2019 I gave myself permission to find who I am and to do that while pursuing what I know I love. Since then I haven't stopped and every step has been rewarding. Music is my life, my love, and my purpose. I'm not done serving that purpose yet.
