Vanessa bongo, born on the small island of Barbados, travelled to Jamaica at 19 years old and has been living & working there for the past 10 years. This calypso soul is finding her reggae roots and intends to “spread the bongo vibez” to free spirits across the world. She is an advocate of love, the laws of manifestation, Caribbean unity, cannabis & agriculture and world peace. In 2016 she captured a wide audience with her bubbly reggae single & music video, “sensimilla state of mind” which is an ode to achieving focus, happiness in life and the movement towards the 2015 decriminalization of marijuana in Jamaica. Her 2020 debut album release, “Earth to Bongo” was produced by Maxx 749 productions and features singles such as walk in the park, Ganja farmer & Caribbean dreams which have the perfect blend of conscious messages and groove to dance and party at the same time. Bongo’s latest release, the love trilogy, shows her more vulnerable & intimate side with a dynamic 3-track reggae pop fusion love story produced and released by music label, Sarangetti music in march 2021.
