Biography

A Native of Miami, FL GhostWridah—Born Troy Jeffery—grew up in a single parent household and is the son of 2x Super Bowl Champion, Eugene “Mercury” Morris formally of the 1970’s Miami Dolphins. The Miami MC worked his way through the ranks, where’d he’d eventually land his first record deal with Poe Boy Music Group, while lending his pen to Dr. Dre on Dextox and many others. Writing hit songs like Trina’s “Convert Me” & his critically acclaimed, Don Cannon Produced “Red Bottoms.” His witty punchlines, paired with his undeniable flows later land him in Roc Nations offices.
After nearly signing to Jay-Z as apart of a joint venture deal via Poe Boy, he would move on from the label thereafter in pursuit of independence. The failed deal would be his biggest motivation yet. So he thought. A few years later, his son was born. After releasing 10 projects in just 4 short years., GW took the birth of his child as a sign that it was time to slow down. He’d then take on a new challenge. Fatherhood! After a much needed hiatus, GhostWridah is back with his highly anticipated, full length studio album [Most Likely 2 Succeed] which will be released on his own label. Rebellion Records.
