“I’m always somewhere between peace and chaos” How lucky am I, that I get to write these songs and sing them for you, as we experience these moments together. I was born in Detroit, MI and grew up listening to Motown, 90's R&B, and singer-songwriter music. Let's get a little deep. When my parents divorced, I was 6 and my world got a little crazy. I didn't see my dad that much and my mom drove me over an hour to school every day, stopping every 10 miles to add oil to the car so we wouldn't break down (which frequently happened) Every drive became a sing-along to Boys II Men, Whitney Houston, The Commodores, Frank Sinatra, etc. We had little to no money and lived in the attic of a friends house. When I was old enough to understand who and where I was, it sparked my desire to make something of myself in music. I've always wanted to be a singer, a performer, and to be able to take care of my friends and family when I reached the top. If you don't follow your dreams, then what is leading you? Since then, I've come a long way. I've traveled to Russia to play on MTV, the American Embassy, performed on Late Night Talk shows, and have played on tours like the Warped Tour. Most importantly I've met some amazing people and friends along the way. Bottom line is... I was Born in Detroit, bounce between Austin & LA, and I'm thankful to know you <3 - Joshua Ryan
