Deco Loco is a multi-faceted artist/producer that switches between a number of different styles and genres effortlessly under different monikers. Residing from South Africa in a township situated east of Johannesburg called Vosloorus, the self taught DJ/producer is constantly challenging himself to be a better artist and to master his craft in whatever field he engages in. He works with other local acts from his area, putting his audio engineering knowledge and skills to good use by doing mixing and mastering tasks for them. His taste in music has been greatly influenced by his father who is a former tap dancer and jazz collector, who exposed him to a plethora of musical geniuses such as Charlie Parker, Herbie Hancock and the likes at a very tender age - helping him develop a unique ear. He is also inspired by Kwaito artists he grew up listening to like TKZee and M'DU and by artists in different genres he discovered in his high school days such as DJ Spinna and Q-Tip, just to name a few. As an artist that is forever evolving, Deco has molded his sound into an amalgamation of the music he has been exposed to over the years with the new wave, crafting his own unique sound within the constructs of the genres he makes - thus making his music an experience in itself.
