Shara (Sha-rah) best describes her music as "Alternative R&B". Originating from Chicago, but being based/and developing in Los Angeles, Shara has been able to develop her own style in music. Shara's love for music she discovered in church. Her father started to call her to sing during praise and worship at the age of 10 years old. Singing in the church every Sunday, she learned the effect of having a message in your music. ​ Shara became intrigued with writing music and using melodies to inflict emotions. Making people move thru sound became an obsession and overall lifestyle that helped her to develop songwriting and her current artistry today.
