Izis la Enfermera de la Salsa Nurse, Soldier, and Artist Izis la Enfermera de la salsa, the name describes her current profession as a nurse and the belief that music heals; she has traveled worldwide singing in festivals, concerts, and numerous corporate events. Izis has opened for legendary artists such as Victor Manuelle, Gilberto Santa Rosa, has recorded duets with top Salsa names like Nino Segarra. Throughout this time, she has continued to pursue her love music and began professionally recording Salsa music in 2016, releasing her first self written single, Buscando. Today she has released her album Te Curare, (I will cure you) a self-written song dedicated to the power music has to heal. Izis has also taken the initiative during this Pandemic to create a movement to invite people to mentally and physically stay healthy by listening to Salsa. Her program is called Corro con salsa ( Run with Salsa), and she has raised over $3000 to help a non-profit foundation who brings music to inner-city children in the few months of its initiation. In everything izis does, she brings her roots as a Latina, An Army Brat, and a Soldier passionate about caring for her patients as a nurse and as a musical instrument.
