Venla llona Blom is a multi-award-winning vocalist, composer and beatboxer from Finland. She has toured around the world with her internationally acclaimed band Tuuletar and her vocals have been featured in the Game of Thrones trailer, among the others. Her solo album NEVRAK will be released on 20th of September, 2024. Her genre is cinematic folktronica as she respectfully follows the footsteps of such pioneers as Kate Bush, Enya, Eivør and Aurora. Venla Ilona Blom has won many awards and nominations with her sensational vocal band Tuuletar, such as the EMMA-award, 2017 (the equivalent for the Finnish Grammy), The Boarder Breaking Act -award, 2019 and nominations for Vocal Creator of the Year and Folk Music Creator of the Year, 2017). Aside from Tuuletar, she has worked as a soloist, composer and artistic producer in various projects. She has done an extensive amount of studio work and her vocals have been used in movie soundtracks, TV-shows and video games. Venla Ilona Blom is specialised in extended vocal techniques, vocal percussions and traditional singing styles deriving from Scandinavian folk music. She is also trained as a classical singer. She has done several interdisciplinary projects as a sound artist and produced sonic art pieces for contemporary art exhibitions and events.
