Born in Florence, Simone Stella studied pianoforte with Rosanita Racugno and Marco Vavolo, and organ with Mariella Moch, Alessandro Albenga, Fausto Caporali and Stefano Rattini. He then attended lessons with Francesco Cera in Rome, a specialised in master courses with Ton Koopman, Matteo Imbruno, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Luca Scandali, Giancarlo Parodi, Stefano Innocenti, Klemens Schnorr, Ludger Lohmann, Michel Bouvard, Monika Henking and Guy Bovet. After winning some of the major organ competitions in Italy he started an international career as concert soloist and recording artist for labels such as OnClassical (Buxtehude: Complete Organ Works; Buxtehude: Harpsichord Works; Böhm: Complete Organ Works; Böhm: Complete Harpsichord Works; Reincken: Complete Harpsichord & Organ Works; Bach: Toccata and Fugue & Other Works; J.S.
