Shain Richard Romanowski, better known by his stage name A Certain Energy, is an Asian-American rapper based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was introduced to music by his father who took him to studios back in Saipan. His father used to record ballads ranging from acoustic, rock, etc. As time went on he molded ACE by providing him with lessons on how to control his diaphragm as well as studying other artists through their performances. 
 ACE joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school in 2014 and served overseas. He quit music three times to be exact prior to being overseas. After the death of his best friend, Darian Asher-Layman (a fellow Fort Wayne native) he took it upon himself to make his dream come true in honor of him. 
 In early 2021, ACE signed under record label Sinclair Media Group Limited for two singles that later led to working with TheSoul Publishing and finally signing a distribution deal with Foundation Media in late 2021. Since being signed, he has been able to put Fort Wayne’s name on the map by working with notable artists such as Mickey Factz, Sir Michael Rocks, Asher Roth, and Kota the Friend. Some of his notable articles include VideoCity TV’s “Top 5 Indie Artist Music Video Countdown” (Placed 1st, 2017), XXL Magazine “Spring 2019 Artists to Watch” segment, front cover and interview with YV Hip Hop Magazine (June 2021), and Vericane Magazine’s Underground All-Stars Inaugural Class of 2021 (United Kingdom). ~ Gemma Pedroza
