Nicolas has given numerous concerts in Europe, the USA and the Middle East, and has given recitals at London’s Wigmore Hall, the Brahms Saal of Vienna’s Musikverein, the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, and the Grand Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Additionally, he has performed at international festivals such as the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, Oulunsalo Soi Music Festival (Finland) and the Gödöllő Chamber Music Festival (Hungary). He has performed concertos with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Russian Chamber Philharmonic of St Petersburg, the Budapest Concert Orchestra and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, with maestros such as Konrad von Abel, Juri Gilbo, Esa Heikkilä and others. Alongside his solo career, Nicolas enjoys making music in the company of others, and occasionally engages in interdisciplinary collaborations with dancers, choreographers, painters and other multimedia artists. Some of his partners include the violinists Chloë Hanslip, Simos Papanas, and Vilmos Szabadi, the violist Maté Szűcs, the cellists Tytus Miecznikowski, Erkki Rautio, Gustav Rivinius and Péter Somodari, the flautist János Bálint, the clarinettist Gábor Varga, and the Meta4 string quartet. Nicolas has a special love for art song and enjoys collaborating with a wide range of singers. He regularly performs works by living composers, many of them world premieres.
